• Westonbirt is ambitious, supportive and broadening in outlook and aims to help pupils discover strengths across academics, activities and life beyond the classroom.

• Will suit families wanting a spacious, broad and opportunity-rich school with day-and-boarding flexibility through to sixth form.

Admissions at Westonbirt should appeal to families wanting a substantial Gloucestershire school with day and boarding options, a broad age range and a campus-led sense of space and possibility. It should suit parents who want more than a narrowly academic experience and who value continuity through to sixth form.

Scholarships and bursaries may well form part of the admissions conversation, but the stronger draw for many families will be the breadth of opportunity and the flexibility that comes with a sizeable day-and-boarding school.

The current picture is full service and outward looking, with boarding, co-curricular breadth and the advantages of a large estate all helping to shape the school's identity. Parents should still visit because the key question is whether the school's scale, style and boarding culture feel like a convincing match for their child.
