• The school is nurturing, independent and community rooted, and aims to help children thrive academically while feeling known and supported.

• Will suit families wanting a local London prep with genuine warmth, strong communication and family feel.

Admissions at The Roche School should appeal to families wanting a family-founded Wandsworth prep with strong pastoral care, local roots and a practical fit for busy London life. The school should suit parents who like the idea of a school that feels independent in the fullest sense rather than heavily corporate.

The attraction here is the school’s warmth, family feel and local reputation rather than a prominent scholarships story. Families should ask directly about fee support if needed.

The overall picture is warm, family centred and locally embedded, with the school emphasising community, wellbeing and a broad school life as much as pure academics. Parents should still visit because the key question is whether the school’s family-owned feel and everyday atmosphere suit their child.

Assessment at The Roche is frequent but child sensitive, with teachers watching academic progress closely while keeping wellbeing and confidence in view. Families should expect a prep that combines secure basics, good communication and careful transition to the next stage.
