• The American School in London is innovative, outward looking and values driven, and aims to develop courageous global citizens through a demanding and supportive American education.

• Will suit families seeking a London day school with a genuinely international community and a clear American academic pathway including Advanced Placement.

Admissions at The American School in London are selective, globally minded and should appeal to families seeking an American college-preparatory education in the heart of London. The school should suit internationally mobile or internationally minded parents who value a large global community, high expectations and a curriculum that follows the American route rather than UK examinations.

Financial aid is clearly part of the ASL offer, and the school states that admissions and aid decisions are made independently. Families interested in support should confirm the current process directly, but need-based assistance is visibly more central here than conventional British-style scholarships.

The overall picture is polished, cosmopolitan and academically confident, with the school describing itself as an independent preK to Grade 12 day school providing an exceptional American education to an international student body. Parents should still visit because the key question is whether the culture feels exciting and supportive rather than simply high pressure and globally branded.
