Admissions at St Lawrence College Junior School are welcoming, campus led and should appeal to families who want a Ramsgate prep with strong facilities and a clear connection to the wider college community. The school should suit parents who value an inspiring educational journey that goes beyond the classroom and gives younger children room to grow in confidence.

At prep level the scholarships story matters most in the form of senior-school awards later on, though families should ask whether any internal support or awards are currently available. The more immediate attraction is the breadth of opportunity and easy continuity into the wider college.

The overall picture is active, expansive and child centred, with exceptional staff, outdoor learning and a clear emphasis on motivation, creativity and inclusion all strongly visible. Parents should still visit because the decisive question is whether the school’s scale and energy feel like the right fit for their child.

Assessment at St Lawrence College Junior School is systematic but not narrow, with careful tracking of core subjects alongside wider development through trips, sport, creativity and outdoor learning. Parents should expect clear communication, steady stretch and preparation for the next stage without a relentlessly exam-driven tone.
