• St James Senior Girls' School is intellectually serious, holistic and future facing, and aims to develop thoughtful young people who can combine achievement with self-knowledge and confidence.

• Will suit families seeking a London senior school with a distinctive ethos, strong academic expectations and a more reflective, character-led educational style than usual.

Admissions at St James Senior Girls' School are likely to appeal to families who want a West Kensington senior school with a clearly defined holistic ethos and a serious academic core. The school should suit parents who value a girls' education now while also noting the school's publicly announced move towards co-education from September 2027.

Scholarships and bursaries are a visible part of the St James Senior Girls' offer, and families should ask about current categories, financial support and the requirements for Year 7 and sixth-form entry. The school's public material suggests awards are tied to both talent and wider contribution to school life.

The overall picture is thoughtful, ambitious and deliberately different, with the St James philosophical approach, academic enrichment and personal development all central to the offer. Parents should still visit because the decisive question is whether that ethos feels genuinely right in day-to-day practice.
