• Markazul Uloom is faith led, disciplined and community based, with Islamic study and character formation central to school life.

• Will suit only families who specifically want a small Islamic boys' secondary and are prepared to scrutinise the current provision with great care.

Admissions at Markazul Uloom are direct, community rooted and shaped primarily by whether a family wants a small boys' school with an explicitly Islamic character. The process feels more about fit with ethos and daily expectations than about polished independent-school theatre.

Scholarships are not the main story here. The real question is whether the school's scale, ethos and current improvement work make it the right fit for a particular family.

The latest inspection picture is concerning: Ofsted currently shows Markazul Uloom as Inadequate. That makes due diligence essential, and families should ask very directly what has changed since inspection, how leadership has responded and what the current classroom and safeguarding picture now looks like.
