• Maltman's Green School is academically ambitious, nurturing and empowering, and aims to help girls make their own way with confidence.

• Will suit families seeking a girls' prep where academic ambition, confidence building and senior-school preparation are all visibly strong.

Admissions at Maltman's Green School are polished, visit led and clearly aimed at families who want an academically strong girls' prep rather than a mixed primary. The overall feel will suit parents who want high standards, broad opportunity and a school that takes the senior-school step very seriously.

Bursaries are part of the school's published information, but the more visible story is what girls go on to achieve in senior-school awards and offers. Families are more likely to choose Maltman's for its academic confidence, girls-only focus and strong track record at the transition point.

The overall picture is notably strong, with the school foregrounding academic standards, emotional resilience and the idea that girls should uncover their individual strengths. Parents should still visit because the best girls' preps need to feel energising and humane, not simply impressive on paper.

Assessment is regular and purposeful, balancing secure classroom tracking with very deliberate preparation for 11+ and independent-school entrance. Parents should expect girls to be known well, pushed appropriately and coached with real clarity for the next stage.
