• LGS Stoneygate is warm, opportunity rich and community minded, and aims to inspire a lifelong love of learning through a lively wider-school experience.

• Will suit families seeking a Leicestershire all-through day school where breadth, co-curricular life and a welcoming atmosphere all matter.

Admissions at LGS Stoneygate are welcoming but well structured, with the school clearly presenting visits and direct contact as part of getting to know the place. The overall feel will suit families who want a co-educational day school with all-through continuity but a less intimidating tone than some more overtly selective rivals.

Scholarships and bursarial support may matter to some families because of the school's trust connection and profile, but the bigger draw is likely to be the school's breadth, continuity and approachable tone. Many parents will be choosing it for fit rather than for awards alone.

The overall picture is reasonably strong, with the school openly describing itself as part of the Leicester Grammar School Trust and highlighting a world of opportunity beyond the curriculum. Parents should still judge whether the atmosphere feels genuinely supportive and ambitious in equal measure.
