• Date Palm is values led and purposeful, with a message about building foundations for life and providing distinctly Islamic experiences.

• A sensible option for families seeking a direct-entry Islamic primary with clear routines and close contact with the school.

Admissions at Date Palm Primary are notably direct. The school sets out a simple process of completing its own application form, sending a child's birth certificate and proof of address, and then waiting to hear whether a place is available.

Scholarships are not really the point at primary level here. The draw is a values-led Islamic school that is straightforward to apply to and clear about its expectations.

• The school does not publish bursary entry points, so families should ask directly.
• The school does not publish bursary award levels, so families should ask directly.
• Families should contact the school directly to ask whether any bursary, hardship support or discretionary fee assistance is available.

The overall picture is helped by a current-looking website and a clearly stated Islamic ethos, but families will still want to test classroom quality, routines and leadership in person. At this size, day-to-day feel matters a great deal.

Assessment at Date Palm Primary is teacher led, regular and focused on secure foundations in literacy, numeracy and behaviour. The attraction is likely to be a structured primary education where faith and routine sit clearly alongside academic basics.
