• Connaught House is bright, happy and purposeful, with close monitoring of progress and a clear 11+ mission. The school is polished, compact and quietly ambitious.

• A strong option for families who want a compact central London prep where close tracking and 11+ preparation are integral, not incidental.

The admissions process at Connaught House School is personal but clearly selective, especially where places are limited and senior-school preparation is part of the promise. Progress is closely monitored and the school positions itself clearly around successful 11+ preparation, so admissions feel purposeful as well as personal.

Formal awards are not really the point at prep level, but the school's 11+ focus means the real prize is strong onward preparation rather than internal headline scholarships.

• The school does not publish bursary entry points, so families should ask directly.
• The school does not publish bursary award levels, so families should ask directly.
• Families should contact the school directly to ask whether any bursary, hardship support or discretionary fee assistance is available.

The overall picture is helped by a very clear website and explicit 11+ messaging, so families have something concrete to test before they visit. For a small central London prep, that clarity matters.

Assessment at Connaught House is deliberately tracked and senior-school-facing, with progress monitored closely so that children are both supported and stretched towards 11+. For families, that makes the small size feel purposeful rather than narrow.
